A few months ago, I used to live my life like I was buying groceries.
I’ll have this. I want this. This is on discount. I’ll take that.
When I open Instagram and bam, there are 1000 things I wanted to fill in my life. New altcoins to invest in. Buying a home, then wondering about what to buy to decorate the place.
I was a hoarder — both material and intellectual.
The mental hoarding, unlike material possessive, doesn’t end when you purchase the product. As a result, some of us clung to mental threads that are still unsolved for years.
My only focus was filling my life. My YouTube watch later list was longer than my friend list. My to-do list was longer than the hours in a day.
I was trying to do everything, making the most of every hour and minute.
I don’t remember when I only did a single thing at once. Being a designer and writer, I work with some jazz playing in the background and seldom some nontechnical podcasts.
